The discharge levels are expected to reach near historic highs, with districts like Bhagalpur and Katihar facing the brunt of the flooding.The districts of Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Muzaffarpur, Saran, Vaishali, and Samastipur are affected by flooding from the overflowing Gandak river. Additionally, the districts of Sitamarhi, Sheohar, and Muzaffarpur are facing significant flood risks from the Bagmati river.
